Castles Made of Sand is a fun route that offers up strong and technical moves throughout a vertical face on the Monument Base Area, starting just right of Tuesday's Gone. From the ground up the climb looks really straight forward with the appearance of big holds through the bottom section that moves right to left. Once on the route you'll find that is not the case. The bottom section feels like the crux with big slick flat holds and strenuous crimps as you move from right to left. Once through the bottom section the climbing turns technical on sharp rock before encountering one more crux near the top working up under and through a small bulge. Great climbing on good rock.
