The Struggle Within is a straight forward climb for most of the route, with a single technical and sequential crux. Start up solid rock using edges before reaching a mini-roof. Use full finger wraps within a sharp crack to surmount the mini-roof before moving up low angle and cruiser terrain. The pitch steepens again into a perplexing and chalk littered corner/face that forces climbers to move up left below an arete with less than good feet. Once through the crux, enjoy big holds on an arete through a few more bolts before reaching the two bolt anchors. Rap or lower from the chains.
This is a fun climb on solid rock that is easy outside of the crux sequence.

The Sterling Hollow Block is great at biting down on ropes when tying friction knots using a Prusik, Klemheist, or auto block. Its Aramid fiber construction helps resist abrasion and heat. Pony up a few extra bucks to have one hanging from your harness, you’ll end up using it.
