Blue Light Special is a Smith Rock Classic that offers up quality climbing through a few varied styles along the way. It is the first climb as you walk up to the east face of the Shipwreck Wall and the start is littered with chalked up holds. Using a stick clip on the first bolt is smart.
Start moving out left under a small roof before coming back to your right through some sporty moves down low on the route. Shoot for a jug and pull up over to a rest. From here the moves are less big but a mixture of fun movements on good rock make for a fun finish to the anchors

The Sterling Hollow Block is great at biting down on ropes when tying friction knots using a Prusik, Klemheist, or auto block. Its Aramid fiber construction helps resist abrasion and heat. Pony up a few extra bucks to have one hanging from your harness, you’ll end up using it.
