This short climb is found on what looks like a stand-alone block just as you finish up the switchbacks at the start of the Misery Ridge trail. The climb starts up edges to the first bolt before passing through large pockets and jugs that make for gym-like climbing. The final moves of the climb are the crux as you reach through and find a good hold to clip the anchors. If this climb were longer it would definitely up the star-rating but it is over before you know it. Makes for a good intro to 5.10 climbing.

The Sterling Hollow Block is great at biting down on ropes when tying friction knots using a Prusik, Klemheist, or auto block. Its Aramid fiber construction helps resist abrasion and heat. Pony up a few extra bucks to have one hanging from your harness, you’ll end up using it.
