Testament Slab

The Testament Slab offers up a good number of moderate climbs in the main area of the park. While the climbs themselves may be graded in the moderate range, they typically involve more spice than your average 5.9 or 5.10. Barbecue The Pope is a perfect example of the type of climb vs grade in the area. The first bolts are typically high off the deck and the climbing feels harder than the given grade. Have a stick clip handy if you aren't extremely confident in your ability to climb the grade or a few grades above what you are about to jump on. The consequences of getting hurt trying to reach the first bolt are real and not worth the risk.

Location

Sandwiched in the middle of the Christian Brothers - East with the Combination Blocks to it's left and Prophet Wall to it's right. The area is most noticeably highlighted by a less than vertical blocky pillar with multiple bolt lines on it.

The Sterling Hollow Block is great at biting down on ropes when tying friction knots using a Prusik, Klemheist, or auto block. Its Aramid fiber construction helps resist abrasion and heat. Pony up a few extra bucks to have one hanging from your harness, you’ll end up using it.
